Finding Her Rhythm
Libbi Lingley, BIND ’10, has spent her two co-ops combining her passions for design and music. In her time at Mass Appeal Entertainment, a Boston based record label, Lingley progressed from making small promotional images to being the company’s first intern to produce CD artwork that was printed and sold in stores in Europe and the U.S.
“Co-op has been a really positive experience for me because it has helped me find something I’m really passionate about. I look forward to going to work every day.”
Co-op’s Contribution Inside the Classroom
Lingley has been able to use the software knowledge that she learned at Wentworth and apply it to her position at Mass Appeal. Working at Mass Appeal has enabled her to bring a new understanding of the software, a different perspective of the process and outcome of a project, and improved time management and presentation skills to the classroom.
“The experience using Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) at Mass Appeal helps me a lot with my presentation skills in the classroom.”
Musical Breakthrough
Lingley’s co-op experience allowed her to learn from her colleagues, gain international exposure for her designs, and realize what she wants to do when she graduates.
“The position has changed what I thought I wanted for a career path. It has taught me a lot about other aspects of design I hadn’t yet learned and also about working with clients and meeting their needs.”
