Co-op Experience

Construction crew stands in front of project

“Co-op has strengthened my outlook on my career. I like that fact that there is no cubical and my job can change every few years. I will have a never-ending chance to learn new things as I work on different types of projects.”
- Beth Oxford, Construction Management '11

Three-part Learning Model

Our three-part learning model ensures you take full advantage of class, labs/studios, and co-op opportunities.

At Wentworth, learning will be more complete and more dynamic because you will experience the material in multiple ways. You will test classroom lessons in labs and studios, and then apply your knowledge and experience in real-world professional settings.

In the classroom, you will get to know your talented fellow students, thanks to an average class size of twenty-four. Small classes also ensure that you have direct contact with your professors, who are often active industry leaders and professionals as well as dedicated teachers. They will guide you as you learn the principles at the foundation of Wentworth’s majors.

On-campus labs and studios will help you bring classroom theory to life, giving you the confidence to master complex tools and techniques. Lab and/or studio work is an integral component of all majors.

After two years, you will put both your classroom learning and your lab/studio experience to work. All bachelor’s degree programs require two semesters of co-op, with an optional third semester. Many co-op positions lead directly to full-time job offers after graduation. Your professional knowledge will also serve you well as you complete the coursework for your discipline.
